Greetings from our Minister

Thank you for visiting our site. On behalf of the people called Methodists who worship in the Ballyclare Circuit Churches of Ballyclare, Ballynure and Doagh, I invite you to share in our activities and services. We look forward to welcoming you. If you regularly worship in another location, we wish you God's warmest blessings.

Events & News on Ballyclare Circuit

Sunday night Youth Fellowship (age 12-18) has been growing in numbers and in enthusiasm this year. YOUTH ALPHA is being run (January -March), and is encouraging in faith our "own" Young People as well as reaching out to the Young People of the area. An "OPEN DOORS" Support Group has been established to pray for the persecuted church around the world. A new Circuit Family and Children’s Worker post was created in September, as a "bridge" to families on the periphery of Circuit life, and as an outreach to other families in the community. Three open meetings to discuss pray and seek God's Vision for our Circuit have been held, and much encouragement has been the result. A Food Bank is being set up in the community through the local churches working together - it is one of many ways that the local denominations share in mission.

BALLYNURE had a special Harvest Celebration with Concert and special services drawing large congregations and encouraging praise. Sunday School / Bible Class / Junior Sports Club continue to be supportive of the whole church. Church members continue to support the work of N I Hospice and Children’s Hospice through Carol Singing and other events.

BALLYCLARE GB continues to be strong with 80 girls. A special service of Thanksgiving for the work of GB included former Officers and members. BB has more than doubled the numbers attending Spark/Anchor Boys thanks to the diligence of the Officers and enthusiasm of the boys.

DOAGH celebrated 170 years of Faith and Witness in 2014 with many events, both social and spiritual. A "Johnny Cash" night, Quizzes, Community Fun Day, Bible Teaching Event (last week in November), special "Welcome Back" invitational events for former ministers and lay workers, were just some of the events that brought encouragement to the congregation.

Thought for the Week

If you want to know where your heart is, look where your mind goes when it wanders.

Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. Matthew 26:41
